Art Exhibit About Kids and The Things They Have and Love
Sounds like an interesting exhibit so I thought I’d share the news here…
The traveling exhibition, organized in 1997 by the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany, is a study in the design of children’s toys and necessities from the 17th century until now.
It boasts cradles, highchairs, potty chairs, chairs suited for kings, desks designed for proper posture and now for relaxation, and a swivel child’s barber chair fashioned with a carousel-like horse’s head. Pittsburgh is the final stop on a road trip through cities in Europe and Asia, and to the United States in Connecticut and Oklahoma City.
