Best Baby Bouncer: Kick and Play (Fisher Price)

by Shai Coggins on May 5th, 2005

Out of all the baby things and toys that I bought for my son, this is by far the best. Some of the things I’d rave about this are as follows:

  • It has a lot of interactive features for the baby — including sounds, music, colours, shapes, lights, textures and movement. My boy loved the soothing vibrating motions and all the other features. I can still remember the moment when he realised he can actually make the bouncy seat play music and show lights when he kicks. He laughed and shrieked with the delight!
  • It’s safe! It has a 3-point harness where you can secure a small child. And, its position is low enough that you can even put an infant in it. In fact, my boy started using it when he was only 3-4 weeks old! And, he loves sleeping in it — even up to now when he’s almost 16 months old. I’m definitely getting my money’s worth.
  • It’s easy to clean. For small amounts of milk stains and such, it’s easy to wipe clean. The material is also detachable so you can even wash it properly.
  • … and it’s reasonably priced!

As you can probably tell, I just love this baby bouncer. And it’s even better because my boy loves it too!

Overall Rating: (10/10)

S loved our hand-me-down bouncer even though it didn’t come with any fancy doodads and the vibrating feature was already broken. He could sit in it comfortably without us worrying about him falling out.

Yes, that’s the wonderful thing about these baby bouncers… they’re just comfortable and easy for kids. And, as I said, SAFE. I never worry about C falling out either. And, even when he started learning how to get out of it by himself, it was fine. Now, he even goes in it on his own!

Our infant loves his Kick N Play too. He likes to bat the toys with hands and feet, and when he tires of that, he reclines and props his feet against the toy bar. hehe He’s even napped in it a few times, though usually he prefers his swing.

Qadira, the image of your little boy propping his feet on the bar must look so cute - and all too familiar. :-) We never got my boy a swing, so he’s just attached to his baby bouncer. :-)
