Less Well-Known Toddler Books
You’ve seen them everywhere. At Costco or BJ’s, baby showers, and birthday parties, some books make their appearance again and again. Almost everyone has Eric Carle, Dr. Seuss, and Sandra Boynton books in their collection. Here are a few gems that we discovered, which don’t seem to get much fanfare.
1. Baby Dazzler Series by Helen Stephens
2. Who’s Peeking by Charles Reasoner
3. Wheelie Board Books

The Barbapapa books are wonderful. I own Barbapapa’s Ark (it was a school book club purchase in the mid-70’s), but haven’t found any of the others in my local wanderings. This site has a bunch of fun stuff about the Barbapapas: http://www.naughtykitty.org...

Qadira, Barbapapa looks very similar to a character on a Japanese children’s show. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Japanese are keeping his memory alive.
