Playing Scrabble

My dad is just a board game fanatic. Give him anything to play with and he’ll do his best to master it. He’ll spend day and night studying every possible move. (In fact, I think he’d even learn every possible way to cheat! ;-))

I remember how we spent countless hours as a family playing all sorts of board games - Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly, chess… and one of my dad’s all-time favourite: Scrabble.

And, even though my language and vocabulary skills seem considerably better than my dad’s’ (No disrespect intended, dad!) - I could never beat him at any board game. Especially not Scrabble.

At this time, my little boy’s yet too young to play board games. But, as soon as he is able, I’m sure we’ll bring out Scrabble once again. And maybe, he can end up beating his old grandad. :-)
