Friends Are Better Than Toys
Noisy toys are banned from our home. We particularly dislike electronic toys that play annoying tunes repeatedly, but creepy talking toys are also unwelcome.
Some parents in China apparently think talking toys are the way to go.
(The Tianjin Daily) says nowadays kids spend a lot of time alone, because parents are always busy working and have no time to communicate with them. Talking toys are meant to fill the gap.
Experts warn, however, that children should have more friends rather than toys to develop a healthy personality.

And here I was thinking that I should stop putting in so much effort setting up playdates for my son and get him some toys to yak to instead.
