Amazon.com Has Best Prices

No, this is not an advertisement although I’ll admit upfront that I’m an Amazon.com affiliate and avid Amazon.com shopper. We spend most of our entertainment budget on books, DVD’s, and video games, so what better place to shop than at Amazon.com? Now there’s another reason - Amazon.com is cheaper than Target or Toys R Us.

Average prices for video games at Target Corp., Toys R Us Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. were 5 percent to 10 percent higher than online retailer Amazon.com, whose prices before shipping were the lowest among the top eight video game retailers.

We still enjoy browsing brick-and-mortar stores like Best Buy and Electronic Boutique when we’re visiting relatives in the U.S., but we’ll probably continue to pre-shop by ordering the things we really want online. It not only saves time, but a little money too.
