Meg Cabot Mobile Club
Who’s Meg Cabot? And what’s a “mobile club”?
I am obviously not the mother of a girl because I had no idea that Meg Cabot was the author of The Princess Diaries. Members of the Meg Cabot Mobile Club receive news, polls and cool offers about Meg and her books sent directly to their mobile phone via SMS/text messaging every week. It’s HarperCollins’ newest way to promote books via mobile marketing.
Guess it isn’t surprising considering that over 16 million teens and tweens in the U.S. own cell phones with about 44% of 10-18-year-olds carrying them. (GfK, March 9, 2005) And to think I only just learned to text message a year ago.
NB: Meg’s also got a cute blog up at her website.

LOL! I may not be a mother of a girl — but I’m certainly the sort who still reads "girly stuff". Haha. Not only do I know who Meg Cabot is, I also read (and own!) at least 4 of her books. Yep - just one of the many facets of me.

Shai, Meg Cabot writes for adults too, if I’m not mistaken. A very multi-talented woman (just like you).

Yes. I’m familiar with her work for adults too. But, I haven’t read them yet. :-)
And - eh. You’re making me blush. :-D
