Tokyo Game Show 2005

by Hsien-Hsien Lei on September 16th, 2005

The 2005 Tokyo Game Show opened on Friday with much fanfare. I know a number of people who wish they were there (even I wouldn’t mind taking a look). One of the hottest items is the one-handed Nintendo Revolution controller that looks like a TV remote control complete with motion detection.

Other highlights of the three-day show include Microsoft’s Xbox360, Sony’s PlayStation 3, and over 550 new software products from an all-time high of 131 exhibitors. There’s even a kids area with a touch and try booth, but I doubt they provide eye masks when you walk past booths exhibiting games featuring excessive violence or cleavage. I’d refrain from bringing any child younger than 13.

If you’ve ever been to a Tokyo Game Show, share your experience with us!
