Graunties Buying Children’s Books
This press release about children’s book sales in the UK had me cracking up. Point by point (my comments in italics):
- More adults than children buy children’s books. (Well, yeah, they’re the ones with the moolah!)
- Adults buy books for their own children, for other people’s children and for themselves. (So adults are buying books for EVERYONE.)
- If adults are accompanied by children, the child has a say in the type of book bought. (Gosh, isn’t it nice to live in such an egalitarian society?)

I’m not, but my MIL is. She doesn’t limit it to just books though, anything which falls under the umbrella of "it’s for the Grandkids!" is fair game in her world.

Q, Ooooh yes. My MIL is too!!! But I’ve curbed her habit quite a bit.
