Children’s Christmas Book Advent
Christmas is a special time for many families. What better way to celebrate it than with books?
Reader Monkeyteats has a great idea for a children’s Christmas book advent.
The idea is to have 25 books about Christmas and you take them out only during those 24 days and read one book a day. Then you put them up until the next year. This could easily be adapted to any holiday.
My son’s favorite Christmas book last year when he was two-years-old was Ho! Ho! Ho! by Charles Reasoner. What books would you include in your Christmas book advent?

I couldn’t do that. Boxing up favorite books to be read only once a year, at a set time? AAUGHGHHH! hehehe. A tradition we have, that my dad started when I was really little, is to read poetry out loud on Christmas Eve, conclude with the classic "twas the Night before Christmas", make sure stockings are hung and a snack for Santa left on the table, and then off to bed.

Q, LOL You’re such a bookworm! We are totaly slackers when it comes to celebrating the holidays. Will try to make an effort this year. We actually have a turkey for Thanksgiving this year. Woohoo!
