This Summer’s Movie Toys
Last year, movie-related toys were all about Star Wars. This year, retailers say most merchandise this summer are going to be about:
- Disney-Pixar’s Cars - tracksets, racing car beds and animated talking cars
- Walt Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest - action figures, swords with sound effects, and T-shirts with skull motifs
- Warner Bros.’ Superman Returns - radio-controlled 16-inch superheros that soar up to 300 feet, inflatable Superman suits, jewel-encrusted shirts and handbags
- Sony Pictures’ The Da Vinci Code - games and apparel, religious and art books
We haven’t picked up any yet, have you?

We might be inclined to increase the mine field otherwise known as our livingroom floor, with toy cars or pirate play outfits, because the boys love cars and they love the old movie “Swiss Family Robinson”. Actually, we’re not at all inclined to buy any more toys, but who knows what the relatives will do. lol

Deb: So you’re saying you’d be perfectly comfortable in my minefield of a house too? :) As for relatives, my sis just came to visit with a big suitcase full of goodies. YAY!
gary: As far as I know, toys from Cars will still be included in this summer’s Happy Meals. Woohoo!! Thanks for sharing the pics. The car is ADORABLE and lucky you for having advance screening tickets. Watch out! I might come snatch them from you. ;)
