TinCan Personalized Father’s Day Cards
Father’s Day is this weekend in many parts of the world including the U.S. and UK (usually the third Sunday of June in case you didn’t know!). Since we’re always late sending a traditional paper greeting card to our dads, my husband has decided he wants to create a little video card for the grandpas this year. While it will probably be simple to do it on our own with a video snippet shot by our digital camera, I’m considering using TinCan (dial-up permitting).
You can choose a storybook or greeting card, record your voice online to accompany it, and send it off to someone you care about as an e-mail message (patent pending). The message arrives in minutes. There is no special software, and no downloads. It’s Simple, Personal, and Immediate.
Check out the Father’s Day cards and let us know if you try TinCan!
Update June 22: We got our broadband back this week and tried TinCan! It was fantastically easy to use and the sound quality very clear. My mom was thrilled with her recorded card featuring her grandson wishing her a happy birthday.

I just tried TinCan, and it’s easy to use and just as cute as it can be! It’s a shame our grandchildren are too old for this now.
