Family Fun on the 4th of July

Happy birthday, America! We’re in the midst here of a long, fun weekend of parades, family cookouts, fireworks displays, and homemade apple pie (or Mrs. Smith’s! I won’t tell.). For the older kids and adults, a game of cornhole (have you heard of cornhole?) might be just what you need to get your picnic started off right.
If you’re going to be playing with sparklers and such, please check out the National Council on Fireworks Safety for important safety reminders. If your plans involve staying indoors, and crafts and coloring are more what you had in mind for your kiddos, check out Apples 4 the Teacher for some Independence Day inspired fun.
Have a fun, safe and wonderful weekend!
