New and Improved Toys R Us
The last time we went to Toys R Us, it was an overwhelming experience. Their new chairman and chief executive, Gerald Storch, vows to change things:
- Cleaner stores
- Orderly aisles
- Helpful employees
For real? I’ve never thought the stores were that dirty (and I’ve been to Toys R Us in Japan, Singapore, UK, and the U.S.) but in every single country, it is more like a clutter-fest than a proper store focused on giving everyone an enjoyable experience. And employees would sooner shove you out the door than help you find something.
Over the coming year, I’ll continue to check out Toys R Us (TRU in our household because hearing the full name inspires too much greed in our almost four-year-old) to see if and how things change. If you notice any difference, let me know either in your own blog, here in the comments, or by emailing me!
