Toys Doing Double Duty
“I’m bored.” That’s all I hear these days. Even when the kiddie pool is filled, the sprinkler is running, and we’re outside on a beautiful, hot summer afternoon.
So, I go into the bathroom and grab the tub toys (while the children are being watched by an adult), bring them outside, and start tossing them into the pool. The kids love it, the boredom flees, and I haven’t spent an extra penny to keep them entertained. They also think it’s funny when mommy jumps in the pool and through the sprinkler with them. (Did I mention that it was hot?)

We had to buy two sets of the fish nets with fishies, because the kiddos had such a trauma over sharing them in the bath. Now they each have a net, and fight about who gets all the fish. *rolls eyes* At least they get clean!! LOL

I will probably need to get a new net, too, with all three of them out in the pool! And, yes, it never matters what we have out there. They only ever want what the other has. But you know all about that, I’m sure! But these particular toys (we have the Sassy net and fish) do at least hold up when the three kids are fighting over them. :)
