Cooking with Kids
Do you love cooking with your kids? I do, most of the time. But my kids ALWAYS love cooking with me.
So, it helps to have some meals and menus planned with “kid assistance” in mind. Kids’ cookbooks provide great ideas and inspiration.
The Let’s Eat! cookbook from The Pampered Chef is designed with kids’ abilities and palates in mind. Lots of hands on steps for the kids, and end results that are as fun to look at as they are to eat.
For my daughter’s fifth birthday, we had all the kids make their own pizzas, and they loved it. Then, instead of a cake, we made cupcakes and packaged up little kits for the kids to make mouse faces on their cupcakes (a project from this cookboook). They had a great time!
What recipe do your kids love helping you prepare?

My girls love cooking with me - they both started when they were about 3 years old. This cookbook looks great - I’ll check if I can get it from Amazon for them.
I signed my two upto an “at home” cooking course. It comes monthly and is great fun - we all sit as a family to eat the meals they make. I got it from http://www.cottagecooks.co.uk - which has loads of things for kids cooking and cake decorating.

Dani: Thanks for commenting, and for sharing the Cottage Cooks site. Looks like tons of fun! We’re snowed in here today, so it may be a cooking day for us. :)
