Product Recall: Leapfrog Children’s Activity Centers

by Hsien-Hsien Lei on September 8th, 2006

As you know, we don’t report on a lot of product recalls here at Play Library simply because there are far too many to stay on top of and also because you can get an updated list anytime at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. This recall of the Leapfrog Children’s Activity Center got my attention because so many of my friends own Leapfrog products including the LeapFrog DVD’s my son likes so much.

Name of Product: Learn-Around™ Playground Activity Center

Hazard: A child’s arm can become caught in the activity center’s plastic tube, posing a risk of injury to children.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled activity center away from children and contact LeapFrog for a free repair kit.

Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact LeapFrog at (800) 701-5327 between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, and between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Saturday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.leapfrog.com
