Toy Talk #22: Webkinz World
When I first posted about Webkinz earlier this year, I was absolutely clueless about their popularity. Now it seems that Webkinz are taking over the world! They are among the most searched products, most of which are toys or stuff for kids:
Here’s what one parent at Buzz Canuck has to say about living in a Webkinz world:
…you get incredibly poignant feedback from your pet. We just returned back from a week’s vacation and our virtual pet’s happiness quotient went from 70 to 5 in matter of 8 days. The animated pet’s first response was “i missed you, where did you go”. Talk about guilt trip. It’s a constant battle to keep the pet’s health, happiness and hunger from redlining by participating and earning points.
So the suitcases aren’t even packed away, yet my daughter and I feel obligated to spend the next couple of hours playing games, earning points just so we can come back to this room and cover up any emotional scars by feeding the dog and giving her some new clothes (Is there a Betty Ford for Webkinz addicts, please admit two).
If Webkinz can get parents and kids spending time together, I’m all for it! Hands off my Alley Cat Webkinz.

Yes, I need lot’s of help! I can never get into Webkinz World because it is always so busy. I just adopted a new Webkinz Alley Cat and I need to buy her a bed so she can sleep, but I can’t get into Webkinz World!!!! How else can I get on to Webkinz?
Please, tell me what I should do!!

I absolutely LOVE WEBKINZ WORLD!!!!! Even though it is sometimes very busy, I can’t wait to get back on it again. I am the biggest WEBKINZ FAN!!! I just hate when they remove games and retire pets. It is just so sad to see them go. Webkinz World beats out all the other so called “fun” websites that other stupid people like like myspace, club penguin, millsberry, etc. Webkinz World, I recommended it to everyone in my city. In my city, I am the one who started the Webkinz Craze. Webkinz, don’t ever quit your website, it is the most fun, educational, and safe way for kids of ALL ages to interact with each other. Thank you!!
