Washable Computer Keyboards
These Unotron washable computer keyboards with SpillSeal technology are designed for hospital use but I think any parent with small children would appreciate them too.
I can’t tell you how my heart pounded and the lightning speed at which I moved when my son spilled a cup of water or juice on the same table with two computers. And don’t ask my sister about the time she dropped a cup on her laptop.
- Washable by design. Sealed structure lets you clean fully under running water.
- Easy to disinfect. Can withstand being immersed in antibacterial solutions and rinsed under a tap to reduce spread of germs.
Both wireless and corded versions of the keyboards are available plus optical mouse and Smartcard readers too. The washable keyboard is now a featured item in our new Play Library Amazon Store.

My laptop had to be opened up many times last year due to a motherboard issue after my toddler knocked it off onto it’s plugged-in cord (long story, but suffice it to say after solder and glue and then a motherboard FIRE we gave up on it).
Everytime we opened it up to fix it, crumbs fell out LOL The first time it happened, so many came out that we thought THAT was the problem. I had no idea how much food I drop onto it LOL

Robyn: And I’m sitting here in front of my laptop with a piece of chocolate cake…. hehe If I’m at home alone, I always eat in front of the computer.

[…] Bleary-eyed you scream with dread when your mug of fresh coffee tumbles and hot java spills on your computer keyboard early one morning in the office. Shit! Shit! Shit! There goes the keyboard, you shriek. And you scurry into the restroom for a wad of toilet paper to wipe the mess, dry the keyboard and hope for the best. This scenario is all too typical when you have anything that resembles liquid beside your computer keyboard. Hsien-Hsien Lai, in her Washable Computer Keyboards article, best describes how she felt about spills and spills happening on the same table that propped her electronics: […]

I recently heard of SpillSeal’s washable wireless mouse and it just arrived. This is realy great. It has a great feel and I can dunk it in the sink everyday and start off fresh. I hate the dirt build up you get on regualar mice.
