Children’s Book Week 2006
The Children’s Book Council is sponsoring this year’s Children’s Book Week from November 13 to 19! They have a lovely list of ways to celebrate including:
Coincidentally, I came across The Lion & Unicorn Bookshop for children today in Richmond, Surrey UK. They’re one of the few specialist children’s bookshops in the country and was established in 1977. It was a treat to browse there and it’ll be a special place to bring my son when he’s on winter holiday next month.
NB: The First Book Blog is celebrating with author and illustrator podcasts.

There are a number of book related events going on here in Chicago this week. There is a bookamania held by Chicago Public library, there is a booknight hosted by my child’s day care center. Wonder if all these are correlated. The bookamania event sounds really fun, it includes some live performance of some of the classic children’s books.
Next time when you host something, I will try to participate

How smart am I? I was just writing a post on tips for children’s literacy! Just in time! Thanks for the info.
