Carnival of Family Life-Return to the Islands
That title sounds like a reality TV show, I think, or some kind of bad reunion show. :) But, in reality, it is another great collection of family focused posts from all over the blogosphere just for your reading pleasure, hosted this week at An Island Life.
One of the hopes for the carnival is that all of those submitting to it can visit all of the other posts to encourage one another. It is a fantastic idea, but I have to admit that there’s no way I ever make it through them all. Between chasing the 3 and 1 year olds around all day, homeschooling the 5 year old, trying to keep the house from being completely buried in piles, writing on 2 other blogs, and just all the other everyday normal stuff, I’m lucky to make it through the posts that I do! But what I try to do is start at at a different part of the carnival each week in order to try to mix up what I’m reading. Then I will try to share, of the posts that I get to, the ones that I find entertaining, amusing, or helpful.
If you enjoy the posts I feature, great. Go to the carnival to find some more! If you don’t, that’s great, too, because there are tons of posts that may not be my cup of tea (I’m more of a coffee drinker, anyway), but that will appeal to many of you. So, enjoy!
A few that caught my interest this week:
- DigitalRich’s story of bad movie ettiquette in Showdown at the Carmike Cinema Corral.
- Rory from hamelife shares Grandad’s Retirement Party, a fun story of Ankoo Robbit and the Doppler Effect. I think I know where our lost Pooh toys are now, too. At Rory’s house!
- Visit The Ice Boxwith the post Reflecting on the Value of Family for one of those rarely shared stories of love and respect between in-laws!
Go here if you’d like to submit a family-themed post to an upcoming carnival!
