Toy Talk: Polar Fleece
Kristina Chew of Autism Vox is singing the praises of polar fleece.
I am speaking about polar fleece—without which, I find it hard to imagine being a mother in the 21st century. It is machine-washable, essential if (as today), Charlie let the hood of his fleece dangle from his lap onto a mud-puddled subway floor—into the washing machine it went once we got home. And, because polarfleece dries fast, there is no long wait before I can return the much-loved fleece back to Charlie, who sometimes sleeps with his jacket at the foot of his bed.
I love polar fleece too bceause it’s oh so soft, warm, and lightweight. By the way, Fisher Price makes a Winnie the Pooh line of plush toys made out of polar fleece that are absolutely adorable.
