WHAM-O Hacky Sack Impact - Review
Time for another review from the 60th anniversary of WHAM-O. Today, I’m taking a look at the WHAM-O Impact Hacky Sack.
Did you know the Hacky Sack was originally invented in 1972? WHAM-O bought the Hacky Sack footbag product in 1983, and it didn’t take long for Hacky Sacks to catch on as the next “it” product. Suddenly, kids and adults were hacking in schoolyards, parks, and just about anywhere else you could think of.
I remember Hacky Sacks were all the rage in the mid to late 1980s when I was in high school. Hacking is one of those activities that anyone can try regardless of your athletic ability. With time and practice, any child or adult can master their eye-hand coordination and jump into a hacking circle to join in the fun. In fact, half the fun of hacking is practicing!
The WHAM-O Impact Hacky Sack is intended for ages 5 and up, which is accurate. My 3-year old triplets enjoy throwing it, but they don’t have the coordination to keep it up in the air.
The WHAM-O Impact Hacky Sack works very well, and costs about $5.00. It’s hand-stitched so it’s durable and it’s a perfect weight for hacking (not over or under-filled).
