Craft (or Classroom) Tables for Kids of All Ages

by Susan Gunelius on July 10th, 2008

classroom table I received an email today from DaycareMall about a sale on classroom tables.  I actually looked closely at these tables when I was looking for a small table for my triplets a year or so ago.  I ended up selecting a Step 2 plastic picnic table, but in hindsight, I wish I had chosen one of these classroom tables.

First, many of these tables provide an adjustable height feature, so they can work from the toddler years and well into the grade school years.  The tops are fully laminated on all sides, so they’re perfect for crafts.  From painting to Play-Doh and everything in between, classroom tables should hold up to the task.  In fact, they typically come with nice warranties (DaycareMall’s classroom tables have 5 year warranties).

Of course, classroom tables are more expensive than the plastic picnic table I bought, and you have to buy chairs as well, but I still think a classroom table would provide more functionality and last longer.

Right now, DaycareMall is having a sale on most of their classroom tables and many are available with free shipping.  If you’ve been thinking about getting a craft or classroom table for your kids, you might want to check the sales at DaycareMall out.  I bought a stroller from them a couple of years ago and had no problems with their service.

Do you have a special table for your kids to do crafts or other activities at?  What kind do you have and what do you like or dislike about it?  Leave a comment and share your opinions with PlayLibrary readers.
